Meet Alvina, Spanish market Account Executive
Say hello to Alvina Kalami, one of our Account Executives in charge of the Spanish market. Originally from Albania, she studied Business Administration in Spain and moved to Holland to pursue Economics. Starting her Hotelchamp career, she discovered her passion and talent for sales which resulted in moving up from a SDR, trying to break into the Spanish market, to an Account Executive managing 5 star clients. In this blog you can read about her position, fun moments at Hotelchamp and more.
What do you do as an Account Executive?
“As an Account Executive in charge of the Spanish market, I take care of bringing in new accounts together with my colleague Vittorio. We schedule demos and introduce our product to potential customers as well as make sure they are happy with us when they are onboard.”
How would you describe Hotelchamp in 3 words?
“Motivational, inspiring, community. Seeing the growth of the company in such a short time is amazing.”
What has been your favorite moment at Hotelchamp so far?
“That would be the boat party we had in the first month I joined Hotelchamp. Not only was it beautiful boating around Amsterdam, but it was great that after only a short time at the company everyone already felt like friends and not just colleagues.”
What does it take to be a Champ?
“You have to be open minded and ready to take any responsibilities or opportunities that come your way. It’s important to be a good cultural fit with the company. We are all working towards a common goal and everyone needs to give it 100%.”
What was the biggest challenge during your career at Hotelchamp?
“When I started, we were just entering the Spanish market. So the biggest challenge was figuring out how to introduce our product to enter a market that was not familiar with it. The more I grow though, the more comfortable I become which makes me able to sell it better.”
What was your first impression when you entered our office?
“Actually I thought it was a bit boring. The B building where we are located is so nice but the office was a bit small and we shared it with another company. Then we moved to our own space and now it’s great! We have a great space for us alone which inspires the creative startup vibe.”
Which day of the week do you like the most at Hotelchamp and why?
“I love the Thursdays when we have the beers and ideas. We can all freely give our opinions and get inspired by others, while coming together as a team. Also the beers are a nice touch.”
